Dear members,

It is always a great pleasure to connect with you through this newsletter. The summer has been rich, lively, and full of exciting promise, and I am proud to share its highlights with you.

Our vision is taking shape: the five-year strategic plan

Last February, we undertook a major reflective exercise that led to the development of our five-year strategic plan. Our vision is taking shape. The board of directors is fully mobilized to implement our strategic plan, driven by a shared conviction: CREW M has every potential to exert an even greater influence in our industry.

Four priorities will guide our actions over the next five years:

  1. Optimize our organizational and operational structure in order to engage our stakeholders around a common vision.
  2. Develop and cultivate strategic alliances to enhance CREW M’s influence and impact.
  3. Communicate with intention in order to position CREW M as an industry leader.
  4. Offer targeted programming and measurable added value, aligned with our members’ needs.

This foundational work, carried out collectively, will allow us to continue growing—together.

CREW M in the spotlight

Our community shines beyond our industry. I had the privilege of giving an interview to Premières en affaires magazine, published on June 16—a valuable opportunity to highlight CREW M’s mission and help advance parity and inclusion in our industry. I invite you to read this article—it reflects, I hope, everything we are and everything we are building together.

Flourishing alliances

The success of our first partnership with the Association des femmes en finance du Québec (AFFQ) has convinced us of the value of this collaboration, which we are now working to prolong.

I am also pleased to announce a new partnership with the Institut de développement urbain du Québec (IDU), for the benefit of our members in the Québec City region. This two-year agreement holds wonderful moments in store: a special CREW M activation at the Grande soirée immobilière on September 28, as a prelude to the Québec City Real Estate Forum, and the return of the Québec City Cocktail 50-50 in April 2027. Two dates to add to your calendar right away.

A dynamic summer

We shared a dynamic summer together: a golf clinic in Montréal at Le Muni, a golf clinic in Québec City at the Royal Québec Golf Club, a summer cocktail in collaboration with BOMA on the FouFou terrace at Royalmount, bringing together more than 130 people around a shared vision of diversification, and a new member breakfast on June 11 at Burovision’s offices, where we had the pleasure of welcoming nearly 60 people.

Each event was an opportunity to come together, build connections, and be reminded of why we are part of this community. A sincere thank you to everyone who contributed, near or far, to the successful organization of these events.

Our annual golf classic on July 13 sold out at Pinegrove Golf Club. Congratulations to all participants for that remarkable day—your enthusiasm and presence speak volumes about the strength of our community. Beyond the friendly competition, it is the quality of the conversations, the shared laughter, and the new connections forged on the course that make this event so precious year after year. Golf, much like CREW M, is above all a wonderful pretext for cultivating relationships, deepening bonds, and growing a community built on trust, generosity, and mutual respect.

The summer break

Before diving into the fall season, let us enjoy a well-deserved summer break—a moment to breathe and recharge. Upon our return, we look forward to seeing you on August 25 for a cocktail in collaboration with Les Elles de la construction, where you will have the opportunity to take part in a real estate development charrette. A wonderful way to regain our collective momentum!

The CREW Network Annual Convention in Miami

The CREW Network Annual Convention will be held in Miami from September 23 to 25. Coming together with more than 1,400 commercial real estate professionals under one roof is an experience that leaves a mark and inspires. To encourage your participation, CREW M is offering bursaries to interested members—we invite you to apply if you have not already done so.

September: a month that matches our ambitions

The fall season promises to be exceptional. As early as September 9, we will visit the Kwayaweh project in Wendake, a project that is especially close to our hearts. The result of an alliance between the Wendat Nation and Immostar, one of the first partnerships of its kind in Canada, Kwayaweh embodies a vision of real estate rooted in meaning, sustainability, and community. By the end of 2026, 236 modern housing units will have been built, meeting the pressing needs of families, youth, and seniors in Wendake. This is precisely the kind of project that illustrates the power of real estate as a driver of change, and we very much look forward to learning more about it on site.

We will then close the month as we opened it—in Québec City. The Grande soirée immobilière and the Québec City Real Estate Forum will take place on September 28 and 29. We encourage you to reserve these dates now.

Mentorship and governance: investing in our talent

This fall, registration will open for the mentorship program, with a January launch planned. Whether you wish to share your experience as a mentor or benefit from the guidance of an accomplished professional, this is a precious opportunity to give, receive, and grow—both professionally and personally. Our community is full of talent and generosity, and this program is one of its most beautiful expressions. Stay tuned so you don’t miss when registration opens.

On the governance side, our Nominating Committee continues its work to fill the vacant seats on the board of directors. A sincere thank you to everyone who has expressed interest. Announcements will be made in the fall.

In closing

What makes CREW M strong is you. Your commitment, your energy, your generosity—they are at the heart of everything we accomplish together. Every event you attend, every conversation you initiate, every door you open for a colleague contributes to making our community what it is: a space for growth, solidarity, and mutual inspiration.

I also express my deepest gratitude to our valued partners, whose trust and support allow us to bring our vision to life and make a real, lasting impact in our industry. Together, we are building something greater than ourselves—on behalf of the board of directors and all of our members: thank you.

I wish us all a beautiful end of summer, so well deserved after all the wonderful moments we have shared. I look forward to seeing you again in the fall, with the same passion and energy that have driven us from the start.

See you soon,

Jenny-Kate
